From Accounting Graduate to Finance Founder
Michelle’s journey into finance wasn’t a straight line — it was driven by genuine passion. After completing her Bachelor of Business in Accounting at Victoria University, she was offered a position at a prominent accounting firm based on outstanding academic results. It seemed like the natural path forward.
But it didn’t take long to realise her true calling lay elsewhere. Having developed a deep passion for finance during her studies, Michelle made the decision to return to the industry she loved — and she never looked back.

After building over two decades of expertise across financial services, business development, and lending, Michelle founded lendlab in 2020 with a clear mission: to create a smarter, fairer, and more transparent way for Australians to access finance.
